About
Free, portable Windows music visualiser that continues the MilkDrop 2 engine with new features and presets.
MilkDrop 3 is a standalone Windows visualiser that extends the MilkDrop 2 engine originally written by Ryan Geiss for Winamp. It no longer needs Winamp: it listens to any audio playing on the system, so it reacts to Spotify, YouTube, SoundCloud or a local player.
It ships with hundreds of presets and keeps compatibility with the very large library of existing MilkDrop presets. Presets are made from per-frame and per-pixel equations plus optional shaders, and the program lets you create your own visuals and add your own images without writing code.
The program is portable, requires no installer and is designed to run on modest hardware, including older laptops without a dedicated GPU.
